Description

This mid-sized bandsaw from the Axminster Industrial range is a slightly larger, more powerful version of the well regarded SBW4300T/1 and offers larger cutting capacities with a 510mm (20") maximum cutting width. The upgraded electro-magnetically braked motor is robust, smooth and powerful enough for all workshop tasks. Manufactured in welded steel and cast iron to a very high standard, the AP5300T/1 is fitted with a key released emergency stop switch and safety interlocked doors for safe operation.

Features include cast iron wheels, two blade speeds, heavy duty bearing blade guides throughout, mitre fence, well engineered rip fence with full length rails, easy-to-read magnifying scale and a very rigid, large cast iron table with tilt adjustment of -10 to +45° carried out by a rack and pinion mechanism for ease of adjustment. Blade changing is made easy with a quick release blade tensioning lever which speeds up the blade changing process greatly. Dust extraction is via 2 x 100mm ports, enabling dust free use when connected to a suitable extractor.

It is fitted with a low voltage work light which has a flexible arm and stays where you put it. This machine offers the ideal solution for the larger workshop or educational facility at an economical cost. This upgraded bandsaw is fully compliant with both the requirements of BS 4163:2008 (educational establishments) and PUWR98 (workplace) regulations. This model will also appeal to those requiring the very highest safety and performance standards in their workplace. Please note: a 16A supply is required.
